The Strangest Thing Is…

Most of my dream, last night, was comprised of recurring elements from recurring dreams. And for once, seeing it all together is starting to make sense.

Disclaimer: Of course, the dream brought in new elements that still baffle me, so… :) I’m still a little confused LOL

It all started with me, driving in this cement highway that never ends and never takes you anywhere. Some of the lanes are incomplete and under construction; others just take you around in a circle, right back to where you had begun. I was at a spot where the road ended, and I had to drive through the construction site (mud and steel bars) to get to the other part of the highway. This part is very known to me, for it is in the middle of a huge city filled with tall sparkling buildings PLUS I’ve traversed it countless times (in countless dreams).

Something odd happened, that hadn’t happened to me before (in those highway dreams). I stopped the car and got out! I was able to explore my surroundings up close and with caution (adding more detail to the picture of the highway that I already had in my head). Getting out of the car also allowed me to leave the highway, and I was able to walk into the city proper.

It was a city I’d never entered before from the highway. In my highway dreams, I always saw it going by. But it turns out I’ve been in the city countless times! It’s a festival-like city. It has lots of animated architecture. Statues of animals and people. The streets are pave-stoned, with medians (all medians being very flowery). The structures have lots of columns and cupolas. And they have parades all the time (though not in this dream). I had no idea that the city I visit so much in my dreams, was the same city I drove by so much in my dreams! LOL

In this city, I found my friends and family. There were really no specific faces to my friends, but I knew they were my friends. And my parents, well I knew they were my parents ;) I sensed that they were all worried; very scared! And they were all looking to the sky. When I looked up, I saw a spaceship coming out of the clouds. It’s a mix between the American Space Shuttle, and the AirFrance Concord… and it had a giant red missile attached to its back! Note: I’ve dreamt many times that I’ve been sent into space (with a team of astronauts) to fix that ship, but we never fix it; we always fly it to a peoples on a weird bluish planet with a space station orbiting it, and they fix it. BUT the ship never had a giant red missile!

Anyway, needless to say, the city bursts out in panic, and the ship launches the missile (more like, lets it slide down off its front, letting it drop straight down). The missile falls to the earth and a side of the city bursts into explosions and flames. Naturally, everyone runs the other way. During the chaos, I lose my family and friends, except one! I still had one of my friends with me. And her presence and importance in my dream, still eludes me. As you might expect, another ship shows up from the clouds (on the opposite side of the city); and it, too, drops a giant red missile… burning and destroying the other side of the city.

Now my friend and I are stranded in the middle of a burning city (we’re at a point not yet attacked). We hear from some unseen radio or television nearby that the attacks had been informed and imminent, but since the source of the warnings had yet to be declared genuine, nothing had been informed to the public. Now, the downtown part of the city (where we were, no less!) would be attacked next. And since the other attacks DID occur, it was now official, and the public could know. And the public could now evacuate the city…

Obviously, my friend and I were very upset. First of all, the news came too late; there was nowhere to run, surrounded by a burning city PLUS a third missile-toting spaceship had already appeared in the sky, right above us!

I did not witness the missile falling on the city, because I was looking ahead as I ran, so the next thing I experience was intense heat and pain… and my friend’s hand letting go of mine…

I fell to the grass, which was (oddly) still green; and when I looked up, everything around me was burning, and you couldn’t see higher than 10 feet because everything up was smoke. The grass I was on was burning too, but I was on a patch that had been spared. However, the fire was quickly getting to where I was! In fact, right then my parents appeared to tell me that my sweater was on fire! I rolled around on the grass, but I was still on fire. It didn’t hurt, but I suffered from the nightmarish fear that if I didn’t stop the fire soon, my clothes would burn and the fire would reach my skin! Panicking, I gave up and took off my sweater.

Strangely, with that relief, came the dousing of fires, and the lifting of the smoke… and the reappearance of my friend! Just as I had started to run towards her, it started to rain. That explained the dousing fires, but it posed an even bigger threat!

Quickly, without giving it a thought, I stopped mid-stride and turned away from my friend. I ran from under the rain, towards a building with cracked windows and walls (where my parents were beckoning me from). Once safe inside the lobby of the building, I looked back to a horrible realization. My friend hadn’t followed me, and she was still out there in the rain.

“Over here!”, I called her, yelling out her name, “Get out of the rain! It’s acid! It’s raining acid rain; get over here! It’s safe in here! Get out from under the rain!”. But no matter how loud or panicked I yelled for her, she did not hear. She just stood there, lost under the rain, awed by the destruction around her.

So I did what perhaps only in dreams I’d be man enough to do… I ran back into the rain, to get her.

When I reached her, she told me she was okay; and I led her to the safe building. Inside, we checked each other’s skins and we were indeed okay. We went further inside the building (with my parents in tow) and found a huge movie theater (one of my favorites from my dreams). The seats were torn and broken off, and thrown around everywhere; piled up in places. The screen was barely there anymore; charred almost completely.

But I know this theater from my dreams, and I knew what was behind it. (Even though I never exited the theater in my dreams before, so this dream was my first time seeing in which building it was actually located!) Indeed, I found what I knew was there, behind the screen. And luckily, it had not suffered much damage. It was like a backstage for a play-theater. Brown brick walls, curtains, props, costumes…

If you keep going further in the back, you’ll find an old run-down set of brick-steps, that lead up to a large black-iron door. Never in my dreams had I been able to open that door (neither did I open it in THIS dream! LOL). But realizing who I was with, I had a pretty good idea where the door led to! ;)

There’s a secret passage underneath the stairs. There, I do go all the time. It’s not really a secret passage; it’s just that the bricks are laid up in such a way that it looks like there’s no way to go, but if you keep walking, you’ll end up fitting through a very narrow path. This path takes you to a room with a well, and another set of stairs that takes you up. The well hasn’t really played a part in any of my dreams as of yet, but it’s always there when I go through that secret room. Up the stairs, takes you to a balcony-terrace, where an ancient telescope is built into the bricks, situated in the perfect spot to see the stars.

That’s where we went. But when we came out onto the terrace (that usually had the view of a beautiful city and trees) the telescope was gone; ripped from its base! And all we saw was destruction all around us. It had stopped raining and the smoke was gone, but the clouds were still dark. And many, many planes filled the sky.

In the distance, we could hear the unseen radio or television telling us the news… but they were unintelligible.

And I woke up.

Some Nights Ago, I Dreamt...

My brother and I were supporting a friend of mine on some sort of presentation that she had (I don't know if it was a theater appearance, or an art show, or a book signing... it was something of that nature), and we went out together afterwards to celebrate. I don't understand why my brother was in the dream. He accompanied us, and I spoke to him at times, but he doesn't know this friend of mine in RL and he didn't really play a part in the dream anyway LOL He didn't even talk! :p

Anyhow, she took us to her house; show us her pad! And it was a hell-a$$ kickin' house!!! First of all, it was built as a hollow brick cube, about four stories high, four garages (2x2) wide; with giant skylight window-panes for a roof. The front door was a huge, thick black-iron door, and the first thing it led to were metal (goldenish) staircases that ran up to the four layers of floors inside the hollow cube. The four layers (or stories) had no walls. If you were to walk around the edge of the home (on the ground floor) you could look up and see the floors! Rooms, tubs, kitchen, halls! Like a giant dollhouse! :) Not all the layers were placed at the same spot; so you could see ALL FOUR stories at certain spots from the ground... and you could probably climb or jump from one to the other at certain places. Also, there was a lot of glass (the entirety of the bath rooms were made of glass), so it made the 3-D (see-all) effect that much more cool ;)

The more interesting thing about this house, though, was the decoration. She explained to me that the 'apartment' has a tradition: You move in, you decorate it; and when you move out, you leave everything! So the thing was full of memoirs and souvenirs from past tennants, from many generations! Like a museum! Everywhere I looked, there was something old, or colorful; interesting, or odd; beautiful, or abstract. Posters, relics, toys, furniture, gadgets... Full of 'em all! No place was left unoccupied; the floors, the walls, the counters, the shelves. Her apartment was crowded with wonders! It was really awesome! Bizarre... but awesome! :)

Nothing really happened at the house. Somewhere during the dream, my brother had to leave... and I lost track of my friend... and I got lost traveling the house, admiring the treasures...

Lost in it all... Lost... Until I woke up ;)

What Exactly DID You Learn About Me? ;)

Actually, I don't wanna write in a different font color! It upset me that I agreed to do something that you want to do, and then you don't want to do it. And now it upsets me that you want me to continue to do it! :(

"Hey Roob, let's clean the toilet!"

"I don't wanna clean the toilet..."

"Pleeease! Help me clean the toilet :)"

"Ok, fine :) Here we go. I'm helping you clean the toilet... Um, Kim, why aren't you cleaning the toilet?"

"Oh! 'Cause you're already doing it!"

See my point? :(

I Teach You Font Colors... And You're Not Gonna Use Them??!!???

I don't speak Mandarin, Kim, *sigh* but I could understand it in my dreams... :-P Duh, Kim! It's all in my head! If I think that "Yagataka mukui logi hitake" means "I have no idea what I'm saying"... and I want the chinese dude to say "I have no idea what I'm saying"... he'll say "Yagataka mukui logi hitake"... and guess what? :-P I'll know he's saying "I have no idea what I'm saying" ! ;-)

I Dream of China

As you know, I went to "China Spectacular" (the circus). And as you know, I saw The Ring.

Well, I hadn't had any strange dreams... but last night, I had this really weird dream, that all the chinese dudes and dudettes from the circus (like 30 chinese dudes and dudettes!) were in my house!!!

They were all sitting around in my living room (no idea how they fit! but they did! LOL), and they were all talking to me at once... They were talking mandarin, but I know they were just saying how glad they were that I had gone to see them, and asking me if I had enjoyed the show, and what was my favorite part, and wanting to know if I wanted to join...

Difficult to keep up with them; all talking chinese at the same time! LOL

Very wacky! LOL

FONT DEUX

Kim,

The reason why only your first line turned out yellow... is because you have to font each line one by one:

(font color=skyblue)Hi there! Line One!(/font)

(font color=skyblue)Bye there! Line Two(/font)

OR

Break your paragraphs by using (br) instead of hitting 'Enter':

(font color=skyblue)Hi there!(br)(br)I can write as many lines as I want!(br)(br)And they'll all be sky blue!!! :)(br)(/font)

Remember, that writing (br) is like hitting 'Enter'. So one (br) will have one line right underneath the other. Two (br)s will show up your lines double-spaced. ;)

p.s. Keeping up with the options of this website (and designing the look and maintaining it an' all) is teaching me more about HTML than any class would! LOL

I'm Not In Love With Her

I love her like a sunday ice cream, underneath a tree, on a warm day...
I fell in love with her, like I fell in love with my niece when I looked into her eyes on her day of birth...
Like I felt when I saw my brother hold my newborn niece and look into her eyes on her birth day!
I feel I love her like I'd love a lonesome flower on an autumn tree...
Like I'd love a puppy that looks at me with puppy-dog eyes...
I'm falling in love with her, like I fall in love with the sun of a new day...
I'm falling in love with her like I wish somebody fell in love with me...

FONT

Before each of your posts, you type the HTML command for font color:

(font color=skyblue)

At the end of each post, you type a closure to the command:

(/font)

NOTE: Do not use parenthesis. Use these instead: < and >

Mine is skyblue, so.... pick another one ;-)
